What is the best career advice you ever received?
Early in my career, I was told something to the effect that patience and resiliency will separate you from the rest. Many individuals want immediate success and when challenges arise, they may look to change directions. Display these characteristics, stay the course and success will follow.
Why did you choose your profession?
I love working with local business owners, the true drivers of our economy. I enjoy learning how they built their company and the pride they have from this accomplishment. It is rewarding to be the one trusted to provide insurance protection for their business, their passion.
What motivates you to give back to your community?
A strong community is built on the basis that members of the community will give back and give a voice to those within the community that may need it. With this guiding principle in mind, I know by being an active community member I can help make the community a better place to work, live and play, and that motivates me!
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Do not wait to take a deeper dive in volunteering within the community. Giving back to your community is incredibly rewarding and it is exactly what a recent college graduate (who thinks he knows it all) needs!
What would make New Hampshire more attractive to young professionals?
New Hampshire IS attractive to young professionals. Business owners need to promote the benefits of working, living and playing in New Hampshire so we can have more young professionals come to N.H. immediately after college. One way to accomplish this is promoting N.H. on college campuses and at college job fairs. Everything a college graduate could want is right here in N.H., we just need to do a better job promoting New Hampshire!
What would you like to be doing when you are 40?
Exactly what I am doing now.
What was your last major achievement?
May 2017, Elected to the Board of Directors for Clark Insurance.
Volunteer activities: Camp Allen/Board Chair, Auburn Recreation Basketball League/Board President.
