What is the best career advice you ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received was from a senior manager at another bank. His advice was to work harder than everyone else and to be patient. Ambition can only get you so far and you can’t force opportunity, but by staying focused you can ensure you are prepared when an opportunity presents itself.
What would make New Hampshire more attractive to young professionals?
This is an issue I have worked on at both the state and local level. New Hampshire has so much to offer young professionals, but both affordability and opportunity can be hard to find for recent college graduates. At the local level, communities can focus on affordable housing, while at the state level, I think there needs to be attention given to the burden of student loan debt that graduates of New Hampshire state universities are dealing with.
What was your last major achievement?
Helping to create jobs and grow the greater Seacoast economy through small business lending.
Volunteer activities: Great Bay Services Board of Trustees; Catapult Seacoast; Board of Trustees Discover Portsmouth/Portsmouth Historical Society.
