What is the best career advice you ever received?
The best advice came from my dad. He told me to figure out the strengths of my natural personality and find a career that best suited those traits. By following that advice, I made a complete career change about five years ago, and it has been very gratifying and successful for my family and me.
What motivates you to give back to your community?
I feel fortunate for the many opportunities, positive experiences and influences in my life; and because of that I feel it is important to give back and help others create their own opportunities and success. When we give back to our communities, we can continue to cultivate a place that is desirable to live, work and play.
What was your last major achievement?
Being named Granite United Way Volunteer of the Year for 2015.
Volunteer activities: Secretary of the Board — Greater Derry Boys and Girls Club; chair of the Day of Caring Committee for Granite United Way; under-4 soccer coach.
