What motivates you to give back to your community?
I have worked for nonprofit organizations for the majority of the last 15 years and I can say, firsthand, that New Hampshire is blessed with some amazingly generous people — both financially, but also giving of their time and talent. I’ve been able to witness the impact of their generosity on families in this state in so many different ways, and it is incredibly motivating to see the results and the changes being made through our nonprofit community. I will do whatever I can to continue supporting local nonprofits because the work being done is crucial to keeping New Hampshire such a wonderful place to live.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Take the best from every situation and leave the rest behind. Not every step of my career path has been a home run, but I have learned from each experience, and I know I’m where I am today because of each of the steps I’ve taken and the people I’ve met along the way … and I love where I am today!
Volunteer activities: Most recently, I volunteered as treasurer and then chair of the New Hampshire Young Republicans. While I’m still involved as much as possible with the Republican Party and helping with campaigns, my free time outside of working and raising two toddlers is limited. My goal now is to find some volunteer activities we can do as a family.
