What is the biggest problem facing New Hampshire?
The stigma associated with mental illness. Stigma is the underlying cause of the lack of response, support and action around mental illness. Mental illness is a brain disorder that affects one in five people in New Hampshire, including children. Stigma is a mark of disgrace that sets a person apart. People with mental illness experience this stigma by being labelled by their illness and seen as part of a stereotyped group.
Volunteer activities: Executive director of North Country Community Radio; board of Colonial the Theatre in Bethlehem; stage manager of Jerry Jam music festival.
