EXETER — A Candia man was arrested this week on charges he burglarized an Exeter convenience store last year.
Daniel H. Fowler, 20, turned himself in to Exeter police on Aug. 7 on a warrant changing him with felony burglary in connection with an early morning break-in at Gerry’s Variety on Lincoln Street in June of 2016.
According to police, officers responded to the store around 1:30 a.m. on June 27, 2016, to investigate a burglary alarm. They found a rear window was shattered and it appeared a suspect or suspects had fled. Police said the owner arrived and found cash and cigarettes were stolen.
Evidence was collected at the scene and later processed by Exeter police detectives.
Police said the evidence was later sent to the state police forensic lab, which pinpointed Fowler.
An arrest warrant was then issued for Fowler, who formerly lived in Exeter.
He was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned on Oct. 12 in the Brentwood Circuit Court.
