DERRY – Firefighters put out a small outdoor blaze at a Brook Street home Saturday afternoon.

Crews responded about 2:25 p.m. to 27 Brook St., where a debris fire burned siding of the single-family house.

Battalion Chief James Richardson said the cause is unknown.

“It was a small smoldering piece of debris next to the house,” he said. “It caught the siding on fire.”

There were no injuries, and damage to the residence was minor.

“We did more damage opening up the side of the wall than the fire did,” Richardson said. Firefighters had the incident under control within minutes.

According to town property records, the residence is owned by Randa Wafai and is valued at $157,100.
