CONCORD — A Derry man pleaded guilty Tuesday to a federal drug dealing charge, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
Edwin Ruiz, 30, was arrested Dec. 1, when he was stopped by Manchester police and a search of his car found 799.8 grams of cocaine and $8,264, acting U.S. Attorney John J. Farley said in a release Tuesday.
Ruiz pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.
Farley said Ruiz’s plea agreement includes a binding stipulated sentence of 7½ years in prison.
He is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 2.
