Man airlifted to hospital after snowmobile crash in Hebron

HEBRON — A man was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after a snowmobile accident on Saturday morning.

Fire Chief John Fischer said rescue crews were called about 9:30 a.m. to a trail off George Road after a snowmobiler had been thrown from his machine into woods nearby.

When the crews found the unidentified man, he said he had no feeling below his waist. A landing zone was set up at the town fire station and the man was taken by ambulance to meet a DHART helicopter, which took him to the hospital in Lebanon.
