MANCHESTER — The mother of an infant found dead in her home last fall has been released on bail.

Stephanie Camelo, 30, is charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and two counts of misdemeanor of child endangerment.

She turned herself in to police April 23 after missing a bail hearing scheduled for last month. A bail hearing scheduled for last week was continued to allow Camelo’s defense attorney more time to compile information to make an argument for bail.

A bail hearing for scheduled for Monday in Hillsborough County Superior Court wasn’t necessary after prosecutors and the defense reached an agreement and Camelo was released on $2,000 bail Saturday.

Camelo is not directly charged in the death of her daughter, Eleoaine Sanchez, whose grandmother found her dead in a baby seat Oct. 30 in Camelo’s 341 Kimball St. home.

Camelo has since moved. Under terms of the bail agreement, she is not allowed to have any unsupervised contact with minors and must abide by a curfew of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
