NYC pair charged with fraud in NH
HOOKSETT - Two New York City men are under arrest, accused of using stolen and fraudulent credit cards and pre-paid gift cards to buy cigarettes - worth more than $5,000 in total - which they then resold in the Empire State.
Alberto Rodriguez, 24, and Davon Susana, 20, both refused bail and are being held in the Merrimack County jail pending arraignment Monday in Merrimack County Superior Court.
Rodriguez is charged with operating after suspension, fraudulent use of a credit card and identity fraud. Susana is charged with being a fugitive from justice, false reports to law enforcement and fraudulent use of a credit card.
They were arrested after police were called about 12:30 p.m. Friday to the Interstate 93 southbound rest area for a report of two men buying goods while fraudulently using credit cards, some of which were later determined to be stolen.
New Hampshire State Police said Susana gave them several false names before his identity was discovered and investigators learned he was wanted in New York City for robbery. Anyone with information about the men is asked to call Trooper Mark Barrett, 223-4381.
