Northumberland police arrest woman for carfentanil possession

NORTHUMBERLAND — A local woman was charged with possession of the supected drug carfentanil, after police made a late-night stop of her car Saturday on Route 3, New Hampshire State Police said.

A trooper pulled over Jacqueline M. Hass, 27, about 11:45 p.m. for an apparent equipment violation, state police said. A roadside investigation led to the discovery of what authorities believe is carfentanil, a powerful and dangerous opioid.

She was arraigned at Lancaster District Court and charged with possession of a controlled drug. An investigation is continuing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Trooper Thomas Owens at 223-8841.
