LONDONDERRY — Police are executing a search warrant to examine the computer of Richard Verville, the man who authorities say murdered a heating repairman last month before turning the gun on himself.

Detective Chris Olson said he requested the search warrant after the state police’s Major Crime Unit saw “suspicious items.” The search is not yet complete.

Officials said Verville, 71, killed Daniel Rabideau, 59, when the latter came to Verville’s home at 2 Currier Drive on the morning of May 24. Verville then shot himself in the head and died at a Massachusetts hospital the following day.

The investigation has not established any link or prior relationship between the two men, instead pointing to Verville’s serious mental illness as the likely cause.
