Police: Shots fired into the air in Manchester neighborhood

MANCHESTER — Police said they are investigating multiple reports of shots fired into the air in a neighborhood just north and east of Manchester’s downtown.

Police said there were no personal or property damages from the incident that was first reported at 7 p.m.

The calls came in that someone inside a red-colored car had stopped the vehicle in the area of Walnut and Sagamore streets and fired several shots into the air, police said.

“Apparently that individual doesn’t know much about basic physics, which is 'what goes up must come down,'” Manchester Police Sgt. Robert Keating said.

“Thankfully, there are no reports of injuries or damage of any kind from it.”

Manchester Police continue to investigate the matter, officials said.
