Virginia woman fighting for her life after falling at Rumney Rocks, says Fish and Game

RUMNEY — A Virginia woman suffered life-threatening injuries when she fell off the Rumney Rocks while climbing Friday afternoon, according to Fish and Game officials.
Conservation officers first responded in the late afternoon to the call for assistance with the Plymouth and Rumney fire departments offering support as well.
Ashley Alford was carried out of the woods by rescuers, put into a helicopter and brought to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for treatment, officials said.
The New Hampshire State Police and U.S. Forest Service also assisted in the operation.
Fish and Game officials said Friday night there was no further information known about the victim’s condition.
