ROCHESTER — A tip led authorities to a man and woman police say burglarized a neighbor's residence.
Police said they were called to a Sarah Court home for a report of a burglary in progress around 4:25 p.m. Monday.
"The homeowner called and advised he arrived home to find someone running out of his house," police said in a news release. "The homeowner described a younger-looking male and female running from his house toward a neighboring street."
Police requested the assistance of the New Hampshire State Police K9 Unit, but had no luck tracking the pair.
While canvassing the neighborhood, police received information leading them to a home on Portland Street, a short distance from where the burglary took place.
Police said they encountered a man and woman matching the description of the two suspects. Police said they located the items reported stolen from the residence on Sarah Court in the Portland Street home.
Police charged Kayla M. Lonergan, 20, of Portland Street, with burglary. She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Charges will be forthcoming against the man Lonergan was seen with, police said.
