HOOKSETT — A family’s horse died after getting caught in a pool cover on Tuesday.
Hooksett firefighters were sent to a Golden Gate Drive home around 4:30 p.m. after an owner called to report their horse had become caught in the pool, according to officials.
The owner was not home at the time and came home to find the animal stuck, according to fire officials.
It’s unknown how long the horse had been caught in the pool.
No one else was injured.
Crews were on scene for about two hours trying to retrieve the animal.
