Sununu says Biden ‘finally got something right’ when he said middle-class ‘buried’

Former Gov. John H. Sununu on Tuesday said Joe Biden “finally got something right” when the vice president said in North Carolina the middle class has been “buried” for the last four years.
Biden’s office clarified later that the vice president was referring to the lasting pressure put on the middle-class by the sharp economic decline under former President George W. Bush’s administration.
“How they can justify, how they (Republicans) can justify raising taxes on the middle class that has been buried the last four years?” Biden asked. “Hhow in Lord’s name can they justify raising their taxes with these tax cuts.”
Sununu, Mitt Romney’s most outspoken surrogate, sarcastically called it “a very important day in American history. Vice President Biden finally got something right.”
Sununu said the middle-class has been “devastated” under Obama with 23 million Americans “either unemployed or under employed” and median household income has declined.
“That is huge,” he said
He said one of six American are living in poverty and 47 million are receiving good stamps, “15 million Americans more than when President Obama took office.”
He said that despite Biden’s charge, Obama has actually raised taxes on the middle class.
Sununu said Romney cut taxes as the Massachusetts governor and has a plan to cut taxes on middle-class families by 20 percent.
“We have an economy in crisis and a President in denial,” Sununu said.
