LONDONDERRY - Having waived his probable cause hearing, a former Londonderry youth football coach accused of fondling two middle school girls will now head before a grand jury, police officials said.

Timothy Longua, 41, of 7 Lane Way, was arraigned last week but waived a probable cause hearing that was initially scheduled at the 10th Circuit Court, Derry District Division early Monday morning.

He now faces possible indictment before a grand jury, with a court date to be determined.

Longua turned himself in on a Londonderry Police warrant earlier this month after two of his daughter’s friends reported he’d touched them inappropriately on several occasions. The female victims were 11 and 12 at the time of the alleged incidents.

After posting $10,000 cash bail earlier this month, Longua was released from Rockingham County Jail.
