Fugitive, wanted girlfriend found in Rochester
ROCHESTER — A man wanted by federal officials on charges involving heroin trafficking was arrested in a D'Amours Avenue home Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals Service announced.
Derek Parker, 30, was arrested by federal marshals, who said he was on the run since the issuance of a federal warrant on a charge of conspiracy to distribute heroin.
"This case truly had law enforcement concerned, since Parker was on the run with his fugitive girlfriend and their 4-year-old child," said U.S. Marshal David Cargill Jr. "To think that parents would potentially jeopardize the safety of their young child while going on the run with a toddler is unconsionable."
Kenny, 27, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for drug possession.
Both are being held at Strafford County Jail. Their child was in good condition and released to family members, the Marshals Service said.
Parker was featured as as the Fugitive of the Week by various media, including the New Hampshire Union Leader. The case broke Wednesday, when a tipster contacted Rochester police with accurate information, the Marshals Service said.
