Police say I-93 stop yields heroin, marijuana, cash

CONCORD — A Danbury man who allegedly was driving erratically on Interstate 93 and had drugs and drug paraphernalia in his car was arrested Friday by state police on charges of driving while under the influence of drugs and drug possession with intent to sell.

Police said they spotted George M. Cavis, 28, Danbury, weaving along I-93 shortly before 2 p.m. Friday. They said he had heroin, marijuana, bags, scales, needles and more than $1,500 in cash in his car. His passenger, Geoffrey A. McLaughlin, 29, of Danbury, was also charged with drug possession with intent to sell.

They are both scheduled to appear Sept. 18 in Hooksett District Court.
