November 04. 2013 9:58PM

BOW — The Rotary Club of Bow has pledged a gift of $20,000 for the lower level renovation project at the Baker Free Library.

The club’s donation is specifically for the completion of the informal meeting area — the Bow Rotary Community Room, a space designed to help Bow residents connect.

“Bow Rotary members are very supportive of the role Baker Free Library plays in the lives of our town residents,” according to Rick Minard, president of the club. “We hope that this pledge inspires others to give to this project.”

“We greatly appreciate the Rotary’s support,” stated Tom Ives, president of the Baker Free Library trustees. “It is gratifying to have this public acknowledgment of the library’s value to the Bow community.”

The library’s fundraising for the project is ongoing, with the goal to raise $300,000 privately (or half of the project costs), with the other half raised through town warrant. For more information about the project, visit
