Manchester police say Monday morning fire was fueled by gas


MANCHESTER — Police labeled an early Monday morning fire as suspicious, after investigators noticed spilled gasoline near the rear door of the West Street home where the fire was reported.

The fire burned a window sill and was extinguished by a resident, Manchester police said.

Police said they were called to the location about 4:20 a.m. The Fire Department gave the address as 43 West St.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Manchester police or the Manchester Crimelilne, at 624-4040.
