NHIAA Roundup: Memorial boys and girls both win

Angie Marazzi netted 20 points including three three-point shots to lead Manchester Memorial to a 43-36 Division I girls’ basketball win against host Dover Tuesday.
After losing its season-opener to Londonderry, Memorial (4-1) has won four straight regular season games.

Marazzi scored 10 of Memorial’s 15 fourth quarter points. Marazzi got help from junior teammate MaKenah Grisson, who contributed seven blocks, eight points and 16 rebounds. Freshman Jenoyce Leniyan added 10 points for the Crusaders, seven in the second stanza.

Molly Wotton led Dover (2-5) with nine points and 12 rebounds. Memorial will host Concord 7 p.m. Friday.
Milford 29, Goffstown 22: In Milford, the Spartans (4-1) defeated Goffstown (3-2) behind Jessica Ryan with 12 points. Molly McQueeney led Goffstown with seven points.
Pinkerton 61, Timberlane 3: In Plaistow, Valerie Martin scored 14 points for the 5-0 Astros. Sara McLeman netted eights. The Owls fall to 0-4.Londonderry 76, Concord 34: In Concord, the Lancers improved to 5-0 behind Aliza Simpson with 16 points. Tara Burke added 15 and Ashley Berube tallied 10. Londonderry led 35-19 at halftime. Jabessa Luciano netted 16 points for Concord, 1-5.

Boys’ basketball

Manchester Memorial 89, Dover 49: In Manchester, the Crusaders erupted for 33 third-period points for a 71-34 lead. Trevon Maughn led everyone with 25 points and teammate Kabongo Ngalukulondi added 18 for 2-3 Memorial. Dover fell to 0-5.
Pinkerton 68, Timberlane 41: In Derry, Ryan Burke netted 16 points and teammates Luke Rosinski and Brennan Morris each added 13 for the 4-2 Astros. Drew Green added nine points with three three-point shots. Cameron Donnelly had eight points and Thomas Johnston added six for the winless Owls (0-5) who have not won a regular season game since Jan. 29, 2010.
Pembroke 59, Hollis/Brookline 47: At Pembroke, Pat Welch scored a game-high 22 points and Kafani Williams finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds to help Pembroke raise its Division II record to 5-0.
Shea Whalen led Hollis/Brookline with 13.
Windham 62, Oyster River 40: At Durham, Andrew Lowman scored 17 and Tucker Lippold tossed in 16 as Windham raised its Division II record to 4-1. The loss dropped Oyster River to 1-3.
Concord 62, Londonderry 61: At Londonderry, Drew Coveney scored a game-high 21 points, but the Lancers suffered their first loss of the season.

Freshman Jake Coleman added 14 for Londonderry (4-1).

Garrett Jewell led Concord (3-2) with 18.
