NHIAA Roundup: Pelham boys rally to beat Windham

Trailing by four after three quarters at neighboring Windham, Pelham fashioned one of the most explosive eight minutes of basketball in New Hampshire this winter.

In an 87-69 Division II boys’ hoops win, the Pythons outscored the host Jaguars, 36-14, in the final frame to win comfortably.

Keith Brown scored 32 points to lead the Pythons. Jake Vaiknoras added 27 points, 15 in the fourth quarter.

The Pythons (15-2) made four of the 10 3-pointers on the night and went 10-for-13 from the foul line in the decisive fourth period.

Tucker Lippold scored 16 points for Windham (9-9). Andrew Lowman and Cole Gill added 12 points.
Manchester Memorial 93, Nashua North 83: In Nashua, Trevon Maughn tallied 28 points and Kabongo Ngalakulondi added 22 points for 7-9 Memorial. Malo Roumraj (13 points), Wade Gop (12) and Craig Preston (10) also paced Memorial, which led 36-26 at halftime and 62-49 after three periods. North was led by Jordan Lates with 39 points, including 28 in the second half. Matt Lavallee added 12 points, all in the last quarter when North (5-11) scored 34 points. Memorial will play at Pinkerton today.

Girls’ basketball

Trinity 53, Keene 42: In Keene, Amanda Torres tallied 21 points including 10 in the fourth period. Keene led 15-3 early and 24-21 at halftime. Ashley Hill played well for the Pioneers, scoring 11 points. Keene was led by Allie Yeaw with 17 points. Trinity (10-6) will host Nashua Nashua today at 6:30 p.m. Keene is 4-14.
