Two businesses burglarized in Manchester

MANCHESTER — Police are investigating two commercial burglaries discovered Monday morning, one at a pizza restaurant and the other at a nursing school.

The break-in at 911 Pizza, 108 Webster St. was discovered about 9 a.m. The manager arrived at work to find an office door forced open and cash missing. Police said video surveillance recorded a tall, heavyset male entering the business through the rear door about 2 a.m. Monday.

The second burglary, reported about 10 a.m., was at the Salter School of Nursing, 670 N. Commercial St. Electronic items were removed from several classrooms and an office. Stolen were two InFocus projectors, a Kodak Easy Share camera, a Bushnell telescope and two laptops. Investigators are uncertain how the school was entered.
