NHIAA Lacrosse tournaments: Souhegan ousts Memorial girls

Madison Learned scored five goals and four assists to lead Souhegan to a 20-5 girls’ lacrosse win against Manchester Memorial in Amherst Wednesday. Memorial’s record dropped to 5-12 and Souhegan raised its mark to 17-2.
Mickenzie Larivee also led the winners with four goals and one assists and teammate Jessie Jay contributed three goals and six assists. Jocelyn Donohue (two goals, three assists), Alli Chapman (two goals), Olivia Durling (goal), Katie Almeida (goal), Gwen Hale (goal), Emma Estabrook (goal) and Kate Bermingham (two assists) each hit the score sheet.
Souhegan goalies Meaghan Allard (3 saves) and Sami Beaudry (1 save) shared the win. Memorial’s Jess McLean scored three times and teammates Jessica Sweetser and Lily Sullivan each had one goal.
Memorial goalie Brille Sufat turned away nine shots.
Pinkerton 18, Hollis/Brookline 3: At Derry, Maggie McCarthy collected five goals and an assist to help the Astros advance to the Division I semifinals. Kennedy Daziel added three goals and four assists for Pinkerton, which also received three goals from Erin Coutts. Sierra Sanchez and Avery Drouin each scored twice.
Winnacunnet 15, Bishop Guertin 5: The Cardinals’ season ended in the quarterfinals. Kristin Cameron (2 goals), Averi Farhat (goal, 2 assists), Katherine Lambert (goal), Kate Bradford (assist) and Marie Laplante (goal, three draw controls) led BG.
Division III Boys’ Lacrosse
Trinity 13, Pembroke 8: On Tuesday. the fourth-seeded Pioneers ousted No. 13 Pembroke behind three goals apiece from Will Towner (two assists), Tristan Theroux and Jacob Eldred (three assists). Tyler Tambouris added two goals and one assist and teammates Will Sheppard and Matt Beals each had one goal.
John Stark 17, Hopkinton 4: Brody Fredericks led the Generals with seven goals. Colbey Decotis (2 goals, 2 assists) and Matt Richard (three goals, three assists) each contributed to the win. Jake Blanchette and Drew McQuarrie each netted two goals, Ryan Gordon scored once and McQuarrie added 3 assists.
