Conn. man accused of driving more than 100 mph on I-93

JASON MATARAZZO

NORTHFIELD — State police say they caught an out-of-state motorist traveling at more than 100 mph heading north on Interstate 93 on Saturday.

Jason Matarazzo, 25, of Old Lyme, Conn., is charged with reckless driving after the state police Special Enforcement Unit, clocking speeders from aircraft, recorded his 2007 Audi S4 just before 2 p.m. Saturday allegedly traveling at 107 mph in a posted 70 mph speed zone.

Trooper Scott Garton stopped the Audi and arrested Matarazzo. He later was released on bail with a July 28 arraignment date in 6th Circuit Court-District Division-Franklin.
