O'Connor names campaign team

Shawn O'Connor, a businessman seeking the Democratic nomination for Congress in the 1st District, announced his campaign team Monday.

O'Connor, of Bedford, is the founder and CEO of Stratus Prep Test Preparation & Admissions Counseling. He filed his statement of candidacy for "Shawn for New Hampshire" on Feb. 5 with the Federal Election Commission.

O'Connor has hired J.B. Poersch and Julie Norton of SKDKnickerbocker as media consultants and communications strategists.

Other campaign team members in the announcement: Pete Brodnitz and Mike Gehrke of Benenson Strategy Group; Karen Finney, a former DNC communications director, as strategic consultant; Judith Wallner of Strategy Group as direct mail consultant; Rachel Hirschberg of Berger Hirschberg to lead the campaign's national fundraising; Taryn Rosenkranz, founder and CEO of New Blue Interactive, to run digital strategy and fundraising; Tom McMahon, of New Partners, as senior adviser; Brady Moore as Finance Director; Ryan Long as political assistant; and Sandler Reiff Lamb Rosenstein & Birkenstock PC for campaign legal counsel.
