SALEM — A 20-year-old Bedford motorcyclist died after he collided with a car on Interstate 93 Monday afternoon.

State Police said Robert Aguiar Doyle, on a 1999 Suzuki VZ800x motorcycle, failed to stop as he approached slowing northbound traffic just before 4 p.m. The motorcycle struck a 2008 Ford Taurus driven by Timothy Carter, 46, of Raymond.

Aguiar Doyle was taken to Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, Mass., where police say he later died.

Initial investigation revealed that speed may be a factor in the crash, but the investigation is ongoing, according to a police news release.

New Hampshire State Police Troop B, State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit, Salem Fire and Rescue, and New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.

Anyone that may have information about the crash is asked to contact Trooper Christopher Storm at 603-223-8607, or by email at christopher.storm@dos.nh.gov.
