Minimum wage rallies to be held in Manchester, Concord

October 14. 2015 11:24PM

Labor and religious groups are scheduled to rally outside two Wendy’s restaurants today to kick off the Fight for Fifteen campaign in New Hampshire.

Rallies are scheduled from noon to 1 at the Wendy’s at South Willow Street in Manchester and Loudon Road in Concord, according to the Granite State Organizing Project. Members of the AFL-CIO and State Employees International Union are expected to be on hand.

Fight for Fifteen advocates a $15 minimum wage.

“We are proud that our state is joining this national movement for justice. Full time work should not trap families in poverty,” said Brian Mitchell, president of the Organizing Project.
