NH Business Newsmakers: CASA announces new board members, staff
MANCHESTER — Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Hampshire recently added new members to its board of directors: Adele Boufford Baker, of Manchester, owner of Boufford & Sons Funeral Home; Nick Giacoumakis, of Windham, founder and CEO of New England Investment & Retirement Group Inc.; and Denise McDonough, of Bedford, regional vice president of sales at Anthem BlueCross BlueShield.
CASA also recently added three new staff to its Manchester office: Caroline Delaney, of Manchester, was hired in September as CASA’s part-time staff attorney. Angela Delyani, of Manchester, was hired as CASA’s part-time front office coordinator. Suzanne Lenz, of Stratham, was hired in October as CASA’s director of development. Rachel Crinklaw, of Sandown, joined CASA as its AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. Crinklaw, a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee Martin, will serve for a year as a communications assistant.
CASA, a statewide nonprofit, recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to advocate on behalf of the best interests of abused and neglected children who’ve come to the attention of New Hampshire’s Family Courts through no fault of their own.
Technician earns national honors
NASHUA — Robert Daigle, an ASE Certified automobile technician from Nashua, was recently honored with a national achievement award as the Pep Boys/ASE Master Automobile Technician of the Year. Forty-five automotive professionals were recognized Nov. 16 at the Fall Board of Governors meeting of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence held at Embassy Suites in Concord, N.C.
Waterville Valley exec earns award
WATERVILLE VALLEY — Peter Weber, snowsports director at Waterville Valley Resort, received the Einar Aas Award for Excellence in Snowsports School Management from the Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors Eastern Division.
Castle honored by homebuilders group
NEWMARKET — Steve Castle, operations manager at Proulx Oil & Propane, was recognized as the Southern New Hampshire Home Builders and Remodelers Association’s Associate Member of the Year. Castle, an active member, is involved in many of its initiatives to provide quality housing opportunities through education, vision and advocacy for the betterment of communities.
Erickson joins TFMoran
BEDFORD — Dylan Erickson joined TFMoran Inc. as a civil project engineer. Erickson received a bachelor of science degree in environmental engineering from UNH in Durham in 2015. His experience includes civil/site design, stormwater management, drainage and utility design, and environmental site assessments for commercial and residential projects.
Wilson joins Laconia law firm
LACONIA — Attorney Kristofer S. Wilson joined Martin, Lord, & Osman PA. Wilson previously practiced as in-house counsel for a privately held nationwide company in Washington, Ind., where he concentrated in corporate formation and expansion, asset acquisition and protection, construction law, contract drafting and negotiation, multi-state compliance, worker’s compensation and employment law.
