The St. Anselm College baseball team didn't go too far to find a new baseball coach. The college announced on Wednesday that it hired Nick Cenatiempo, a former Manchester West star, as a successor to Barry Rosen.
The hire marks a return to the Hilltop for Cenatiempo, a former assistant under Rosen from 2011-15. Cenatiempo most recently served as an assistant coach at Division III SUNY Cortland, which reached the NCAA Regionals in both of his seasons there.
Cenatiempo, who pitched collegiately at St. John's University, also has head coaching experience in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), having served as manager of the Upper Valley Nighthawks in 2016, the team's inaugural season, and the Laconia Muskrats in 2015.
