Four players posted multiple hits and three of them provided at least one RBI as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats downed the Reading Fightin Phils 8-4 on Tuesday night at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pa.
New Hampshire overcame a 3-0 deficit after three innings by scoring in four of the final six innings. Lourdes Gurriel’s RBI single in the fourth tied the game before Reese McGuire scored on a wild pitch later in the inning to give New Hampshire the lead for good.
Anthony Alford paced the Fisher Cats, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored and RBI. Gurriel and Tim Lopes (two hits) finished with two RBIs apiece.
Sean Reid-Foley earned his ninth win of the season for the Fisher Cats with six innings of three-run ball. The righty struck out five and scattered five hits before Dusty Isaacs and Dan Young finished the final three innings.
New Hampshire continues its four-game set with Reading tonight at 6:35 p.m.
