DERRY — The Pinkerton Academy Board of Trustees announced two electoral moves to the school’s governing body.
Dr. Scott Copeland was elected as a new trustee representing the town of Derry on Friday, and Adam Mead was elected to serve as board treasurer.
Copeland has worked as a private orthodontist for more than 30 years and is a longtime member of the Derry Rotary Club. He is a board member for the Derry Boys and Girls Club and is a member of the NH Association of Orthodontists.
His four children attended Pinkerton Academy.
Mead is assistant vice president and commercial loan officer at Pentucket Bank in Salem and the founder of his own investment management business, Mead Capital Management, LLC.
He is a 2004 graduate of Pinkerton and has served on the Pinkerton Academy Alumni Executive Board. Like Copeland, he is active in the Derry Rotary Club and the Derry Boys and Girls Club.
The academy’s trustee board may have up to 18 members who serve without pay. By contract, each sending town is represented on the board by a minimum of one trustee.
