The University of New Hampshire dropped six spots to No. 15 nationally in the latest weekly STATS FCS Top 25 Football Poll. The FCS Coaches’ Poll has the Wildcats ranked at No. 16 this week, a tumble from their No. 11 ranking last week.
The Wildcats (2-1) are coming off a 51-26 setback to Holy Cross in which UNH quarterback Trevor Knight completed 26-of-45 passes for 310 yards and three touchdowns. The three touchdown passes are a single-game career-high and Knight’s 310 yards were four shy of his career-best set last year against national defending champion James Madison (3-0), currently the top-ranked FCS team in the country.
UNH will be looking to bounce back when it faces Colonial Athletic Association rival Rhode Island in its Homecoming contest on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
