Portsmouth police investigate theft of vehicles from rent-a-car lot

PORTSMOUTH — Police are looking for the people who stole four vehicles from a Enterprise Rent-A-Car lot Saturday night.

Officers were called to the 155 Mirona Road lot at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, where the business had been broken into about 9:40 p.m. Saturday. The thieves took four vehicles and tried to take a safe, police said. A black 1996 Jeep also was stolen from a nearby business and used in the Enterprise burglary, police said.

Two of the stolen vehicles were recovered in Massachusetts, police said.
