Manchester fire displaces 7

MANCHESTER — Firefighters quickly knocked down a Manchester apartment fire Thursday afternoon that displaced seven people, according to fire officials.

First responders went to the scene of 42 Massabesic St. at about 2:30 p.m. to the report of fire showing from the second-floor of a two-story building.

Officials said the fire caused significant damage to one of the three apartments in the building that also has a church on the ground floor.

American Red Cross provided assistance for the seven people that the fire displaced.

Manchester fire officials said they continue to investigate the cause.

According to property tax records, Li Wei Lin has owned the building since 2013 and it is assessed at $195,600.
