EXETER — A Manchester mother and daughter were killed in a single-car rollover crash on Route 101 Wednesday night.
Becky Lafontaine, 39, and her daughter, Julissa Clem, 14, were passengers in the car driven by Becky’s husband, Aaron, when the car flipped over shortly before 9 p.m. near Exit 9.
Aaron Lafontaine was injured in the crash and airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for treatment, police said.
The crash is under investigation, but speed appears to have been a factor, state police said in a statement.
Becky Lafontaine posted several pictures on her social media accounts Wednesday indicating that she had been at Hampton Beach.
Her sister, Brittany Moody, wrote on Facebook, “I am at a loss for words we were planning our camping trip for next month and y’all were supposed to come. I can’t believe you guys are gone ... hug your friends and family people because you never know when they’re gonna be ripped from you.”
Family members started an online fundraising effort Thursday on the website gofundme.com/lafontaine-family.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Trooper First Class Brian Ross at email@example.com or 603-223-8652.
