Manchester man arrested on bench warrant after chase
MANCHESTER — A city man sought by police was arrested early Tuesday after a brief chase on Spruce Street.
According to a news release, officers patrolling the area of Beech and Spruce streets about 1:15 a.m. saw John Keeley, 36, walking toward Spruce Street. Two other officers also spotted him on Spruce, and when they approached him Keeley fled in the opposite direction towards 214 Spruce St., where police caught and arrested him in an alley.
Keeley was charged with resisting arrest and on an electronic bench warrant, police said. The charge related to the warrant was not disclosed in the news release. He appeared in Manchester Circuit Court on Tuesday.
