September 01. 2018 9:52PM

The Bookery Manchester will host author Joe McQuaid this Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. for a discussion of his "Cog Days" memoir.

The Bookery, located at 844 Elm St., combines popular New Hampshire and national book titles with a coffee and sandwich shop.

McQuaid, publisher of the New Hampshire Union Leader, worked summers as a teenager on the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. His memoir recounts those years, along with one terrible summer that included a fatal crash and the death of the Cog's owner.
