As the daughter of another WWII vet and fellow Army engineer, I am so pleased to hear you finally have your medals. What a real honor for you and your family. Thank you for your sacrifice.
- Mary C, Manchester NH

Thank you Mr. Aldrich, and all other vets, current and past. I've studied a lot of WWII, and Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge, and those were two of the most deadly and terrifying battles of the War. I have the utmost respect for ANY veteran, but especially WWII vets. Thank all of you for keeping America free, for leaving your families behind so I can stay home with mine, and for giving the ultimate sacrifice and never coming home.
I think that Dana Brown has a wonderful idea, call your local VFW and see what you can do, only do it as much as you can, not just on Wednesday. These men have been through hell and back to protect you and your family's freedoms, the least you can do is help with some yard work, or even just shake their hand, say thank you, and let them know they've made their country proud.
Whether you agree with war or not, you should always support the troops, as they are just doing their jobs and following orders. Never, ever take out your political views on war on a soldier, because if it was up to them we would never fight another war again.
- Tom, Manchester

Congratulations to Mr. Aldrich, it's about time. His family should be beaming with pride for his heroic service. Now why not some recognition for Lt. Aime Adelard Genard the first WWI casualty from Manchester who has been totally ignored by the likes of Veteran's advocate? Mike Lopez and Matt Normand. For a number of years I have been contacting City Hall to get some recognition and Lopez and Normand have not even bothered to acknowlege my letters. Isn't that typical of blow hard politicians.
- Richard L. Fortin, Manchester

Congrats!!! and THANK YOU!!
- Chris, Goffstown

Thanks to Mr.Aldrich and all our other vets for serving their country. We tend to forget the sacrifices made so we can live free in this great country.
- dave, littleton

Got Wednesday off? Call your local VFW, American Legion or the NH National Guard and ask if you and your kids could do some fall clean up for a Veteran. It will make his or her day, and teach your kid what it is all about. Bring them a new American Flag, fold it proper and present it at the end as a gift with a thank you. It's not our day off; it's theirs. We already have our hero. 82 yrs and served 3 tours in Korea. You'll feel good about it too. And for Roger, Thank you for the gift of Freedom for me and I my family. May God Bless You!
- Dana Brown, Weare
