Wow... great sequence of headlines. First we show some 80 year old guy struggling to mow lawn with a tool from the 1700's, then right below we have an article hyping NH as a place for MA busienss to move their firm. Why not add some articles about the new LLC tax and how well Fairpoint is handling our high speed internet?

That's a nice story. It's interesting to see the different configurations, especially the straight snaths with offset handles. I grew up in Arkansas using my grandfather's scythe (just as a curiosity), which had a steam-bent snath.

Human-powered tools can be much more efficient than modern machines on small plots of land, and much more rewarding to use.

I wonder how many people expend more energy firing up the snowblower than it would take to shovel their walks and driveways by hand?
