She was one of the most acclaimed actresses of the time, but in the little mountain town of Sugar Hill, Bette Davis was a friend and neighbor who came here to escape the rigors of Hollywood.
This summer, more than 60 years after the era when Davis came north, the Sugar Hill Historical Museum this summer pays homage to one of the town’s most famous residents with the exhibit, "Bette: Her Romance with Sugar Hill." An afternoon at the museum is a delightful way to spend a rainy afternoon or to get out of the hot summer sun. In Get Out!
