I think, in the interest of getting the best leadership and the best canidacy in 2008, Republicans should seriously consider backing Rudy Guiliani. He's ahead in the polls now, but some Republicans are wary of his moderate social views. I believe he is the best equipped at this point to lead the nation through the tough times. He has said he would actively seek to reduce abortions, but would uphold the law currently on the books unless it is changed. This is a sensible way to deal with the issue. He has opposed the immigration bill currently being debated in Congress, which should please most Republicans. And he would engage us forcefully, but intelligently, in the War on Terror. What more could Republicans ask for? Ron Paul doesn't please conservative voters with his rhetoric and Mitt Romney can't be trusted. McCain is an admirable senator, but he's lost his momentum since 2000. Thompson may sound good, but what has he ever done to prove his leadership qualities? Only Rudy has proven himself, so Republicans should give him the nomination.

I invite you to notice how genuine republicans love libertarian views.
As a canvaser campaigning on successful a election,
I have have talked to and registered 100s of voters.
When you hear this response over and over
:
“No, I am not happy with Bush plus, I don't always agree with the Dems
-- I am a Independent.
”
you might start to think you want a Ron Paul.
Ron, is the only Independent American on the Ticket for the presidency.
Have you ever felt the excitement in Ron Paul's message?
As I recall his words are liberating with contrast
taking me to wonder the what if.
What if the two party system stopped failing us as it is now.
War being politicized for knee jerk responses.
Big Pharma writing prescriptions to the white house.
Party's don't own issues they own the responsibility of the people.
Ron Paul is Independent from the corporate lobbies, Independent from big oil, Independent from all waste full spending.
As you might find when considering Ron Paul, he is for your Independence as well as your liberty.
How surprised would you be if you were incredible happy when Ron Paul wins the primary?
But you shouldn't vote for an Independent like Ron Paul, independence never wins over the hearts of America.
