Mike said nothing wrong! There ARE those who absolutely HATE America and all it stands for. The American people have forgotten, and now we are a nation divided. Thanks to ALL who serve: Police, Firefighter, Armed Forces, Medical, etc. I have served and have seen. We are all fortunate to live in such a great country.
- LJ, Manchester
Andrew:
You have my profound gratitude for putting your life on the line. BUT, I stand by what Mike says. The best, no only way to honor and remember those who died on September 11th and who continue to die overseas is to do our utmost to insure that such an assault never happens again. You can't do that by ignoring history. Mike's statements are only a politicization to those who choose to ignore the past because of their personal political persuasion and nothing else. And that is far greater dishonor to the memory of those who died than anything Mike or I said!
- John, Bedford
Must we turn EVERYTHING into a political fight?
Those that were on those planes that day could have cared less who was in the white house or what party was in control.
God Bless all those involved.
- Luke, Bristol
Yes sir, I have kept my head in the sands of Iraq and Afghanistan making sure you can insult anyone you so choose. But that fact should not make any sort of a difference.
I do my duty without asking for anything in return - Duty, Honor, Country.
I wouldn't say such comments make me sick, that's your prerogative, rather I feel sad for all of us.
- Andrew, Manchester
I am so disgusted by the comments from "Mike" and "John" that I can not even find the words to describe it. How disrespectful to the people who lost their lives 8 years ago, that a fellow American can make such distasteful comments, and actually have someone agree. Simply shameful.
- CB, Manchester
It's the "I am right and anyone who disagrees is simply in the way" mentality that drives people of other cultures to want to attack us. Intolerance and ignorance should not be the American way. Keep it up Mike and John. You're validating their opinion of us every day.
- Lynn, Manchester
You are right on Mike!
As for Andrew's response - you sir are precisely the reason why 3,000 people lost their lives on 9/11/01. Go back to sticking your head in the sand and get out of the way. A lot of people still need to fight and die to save our tails, let alone yours - all because you don't want to hear the truth. People like you make me sick.
- John, Bedford
We believe it's important to remember that when seeing a police officer or firefighter in the community, on any day, to stop and say a simple "Thank you" for their duty and service to us. They put their lives on the line each and every day. We appreciate and thank everyone who participated and made yesterday's tribute possible for the kids, our area's future leaders. Lastly, we want to thank our current alderman, Real Pinard for his efforts with this for the past 8 years. We will never forget.
Respectfully submitted,
- Maj and Mrs. David A. Fink, Manchester NH
Your comments sir, "Mike of Temple," are nauseating. It is such disrespect for other views and people, especially fellow Americans, that brings shame to our great Union of people.
You sir should never forget that we are One Nation under God. Such a solemn occasion such as the remembrance of the September 11th attacks should not be tainted by your biased tiraid against those you do not agree with ideologically.
Shame on you sir, shame on you.
Eternal Rest grant unto all those who have lost their lives because of the events of September 11th and let perpetual light shine upon them.
- Andrew, Manchester
I wish that more Americans could live up to the slogan "never forget." Sept 11, 2001 was nothing short of an attempted decapitation attack by those who hate what America is supposed to stand for. They went after the centers of our military, financial, and government (assuming Flight 93 was heading for the Capitol Building.) They new what they were doing and had 8 years to plan it while an idol presidential administration did nothing about the brewing problem and in fact made it more difficult for our intelligence services to communicate with each other. When we say "never forget" we should never forget the Americans who died that day. Never forget the oppressive, totalitarian ideology behind the people who attacked us. Never forget the brave souls who fought back on Flight 93 and lost their own lives while likely saving many others. Never forget that it can happen again in light of the fact that the current administration is completely oblivious to the threats that still face us. If we truly never forgot as a whole people, we would have a different man in the White House today and Congress would not be in control of people who hate the Constitution.
- Mike, Temple
