The prayers of the city's Catholic parish offered 10 months ago after its church was vandalized and religious items stolen were answered over the weekend with their recovery from the Androscoggin River. "That's a minor miracle in itself," said Merle Albert, the deacon at the century-old Good Shepherd Parish.

Praise God that the artifacts have been found and now have an interesting history and story to tell. Evidently, the robbers took an approach the police had not considered--just using the diamonds to fence. I do hope that the robbers have come to know that there is a God and the one to the Father is through the son, Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." If they become saved their lives here and their eternal spirit exist will have changed forever. Thru walking in His ways their lives will be changed, i.e. no more drugs i that is their issue, no more hate and disrespect, and no more robbery. Blessing will follow their change.

I think it of interest that some gems were pried out of the items. Sounds like a good thing to alert all jewelers in the northeast to be on the lookout for someone trying to fence them, or have them made into jewelery.

About 20 years ago, burglar(s) threw close to $500,000 in antiques into the Contoocook River in Hopkinton. That too was a senseless act that hurt many people because of the financial and sentimental value.
riminals like this need to be sent to prison for a very VERY long time.

Senseless Damages.
I hope whomever enjoys their short lived secular splurge because chances are your plunder probably only got you one snort or few ill gotten gains. Once you go to meet the man above, that's going to be one heck of a topic of discussion.
