What does Mr Hirshberg's politics have to due with a company recall of product. I think that you need to take a look at what you are out for.
Again strictly a company reaching out to its concerned consurmers, nothing more

Where did the plastic come from? And why was this flavor run 5 times without the quality dept. catching it? Not looking too good there, libs.

The politics of Gary Hirshberg has no place in this comments section.
This is an article about a product recall for a New Hampshire company, nothing more.
Wether you agree with Mr. Hirshbergs politics or not, he is a large employer of Granite Staters and hsi company gives millions of dollars to envionemental and other causes.

Mike from Bedford- You have made a huge differance by boycotting Stonyfield. Joe McCarthy would of been prowd of you. Keep up the good work, don't let the pressure off those commies you have them running scared.

March 30--I just returned from Hannaford in Goffstown where I happened to notice the article on the front page of the Union Leader.
I came home to check the yogurts that I had purchased several days ago and found one 6 oz container of organic fat-free blueberry yogurt with an expiration date of April 26, 2008. So back to the store it goes!! Otherwise happy with the product; although I must say, my husband agrees with Tom in Derry and Mike R. in Bedford re: Gary Hirshberg's political beliefs.
- Kristen, Goffstown
I am happy to say that I find the Stonyfield Yogurt a fantastic product. Where quality is concerned the yogurt is tops. Hey Tom, and Mike, do you check the opinions, cares and beliefs of the producers on everything when you shop? What about when you need a dentist or doctor?
- Ann, Derry
Oh, I agree with Tom. Stonyfield is not a good fit for NH, in terms of their politics.
They promote liberal causes best suited for Brattleboro or Cambridge or San Francisco, not here...including donating to and promoting groups that want to remove second amendment rights from law-abiding citizens.
I've been boycotting their products for a long time as a result.
- Mike R., Bedford
Stoneyfield, is very safety and environmental cautious. I know this first hand. On the other hand, the stores not returning calls, is the problem here. I witnessed Stop & Shop with seafood items placed out in front, with a 33% reduction.. The particular seafood had just been recalled the prior week, due to drugs being found in it. I have also picked up and complained about bad dates on products, that are still being sold on shelves. At least Stoneyfield has informed the public, unlike Hannaford.

DoLittle...there are Whole Foods in Mass. None in NH yet. Tom, Gary does a lot for the community. I don't think his politics should be bashed just because you don't agree with them.
- Beth, Candia
Tom's comment was ridiculous.
The author of the story says that calls were made to several chain stores in New Hampshire, including Whole Foods. I wasn't aware that there are any Whole Foods stores in NH, unless they're operating under a different name. There's a WF store planned for Nashua, but that's some time away.

Maybe the owners of this outfit should focus more on yogurt production rather than liberal politics. Obviously Gary is wrong in this regard, he has not focused on the yogurt as much as one would hope.
