Gary from Goffstown-- re: your remark about seatbelts... are you implying that the victim would have been better off if shad hadn't been wearing one and had been ejected?
- John, Derry

KUDOS!!! Lisa is an awesome person and we are very greatful to still have her sharing our lives!
- JJS, Concord

"It crossed two lanes before flipping over and catching fire. She was hanging by her seatbelt as the car began to fill with smoke."

What?

No praises for the driver for wearing her seatbelt?

Where are all the seatbelt proponents?

How many drove by without helping?

Scott Clarke and Adam Lucas are very deserving of this medal.
- Gary, Goffstown

Great job guys! This is well deserved. To the people who just drive by please don't assume that someone else has already called for help, please try, the faster someone gets help the better. If you don't know what to do or don't feel comfortable doing anything then don't, sometimes just talking to someone and telling them that you are there and that help is on the way is better than nothing. Don't do anything you don't have to do, if you call 911 they can guide you whether to assist or not or what to do. Please remember that if someone is in a life or death situation and you can and want to help that NH has a Good Samaritan Law that protects you from being sued if your intentions were to the best of your knowledge in the best interest of an injured person. Please remember that you should never do something unless you know how. It is my personal belief that everybody should be currently first aid and cpr certified as a general rule. These are very simple classes and they are offered everywhere all the time from the CMC to the Red Cross. If you are feeling more compelled you can take a first responder course that will teach you more. It is not expensive and it could save someone's life.

- Roy Jacques, Alton

Thank you for helping someone in need and not just passing by or gawking! Heroics like this are rare these days. Kudos to you, gentlemen.

I was on my way to Barton, Vermont that day and came upon the horrific scene of that car burned to bare metal and still smoldering on the hillside while rescue vehicles and police stood by, some still pouring water and foam on the scene. It was a devastating scene and I remember thinking, someone is not alive who should be, right now. When I learned later that the woman had been rescued I said to myself, those guys deserve a medal - Thanks to all who agreed. They are truly heroes.
- Sandy, Thornton

Much deserved, congratulations and a job well done!!!
