Stewartstown – Andrew Fadden, 20, of Laflamme Trailer Park, West Stewartstown. was arrested yesterday for first degree assault on an unidentified 2-year-old boy.

State police said this afternoon that a 911 call at midday on September 30 brought emergency medical personnel to the trailer park. The caller had reported that the boy had been injured in a fall.

The child was taken to Upper Valley Hospital in Colebrook, then transferred that night to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center because of the severity of his injuries.

State Police and Child Protective Services began looking into the case immediately. According to the press release, "investigators determined that the injuries sustained by the boy were not consistent with the original report."

Fadden, who was released on personal recognizance, is due in Colebrook District Court on December 10.
